Spring 2018

Well where do I start? Half a year and more has gone by and it’s been pretty exciting and that’s my excuse for not getting round to keeping up with the news update!

The last half of 2017 has gone!

There is a lot to report.

Laura Gonzalez joined the team last year and now has 3 classes a week and Catherine Hardy started this month – more for you to enjoy.

But the biggest change has been to the Arlington Baths Reading Room where Andrew McGilp the manager has pulled out the stops and surprised us again. After last years Christmas present of the removal of the billiard table I thought we might be in for a longer wait for the floor – but hey presto it is done in a beautiful blonde colour, completely transforming the space. My unreserved thanks to Andrew for enhancing every moment in the space.

Kia Naddermier poured her magic onto those of us lucky enough to attend her workshop in January. A lovely mix of local, national and international practitioners attended and again it was fully booked (actually oversubscribed). The main hall at the Maryhill Burgh Hall proved a find – a warm, welcoming space that accommodated the high numbers for the workshop portions of the Intensive. The next workshop is 21 – 23 September, do not delay in reserving your place it is going to be busy.

The programme continues to grow and currently has 10 regular weekly classes – including Pranayama and Asana, Building Blocks, self-practice (Mysore style) along with 2 Breathing Bones classes. In addition there is the Sunday workshop with the next being Sunday 13 May with Laura.

My teachers Radha and Pierre will offer a weekend of Yoga Practice 9-11 March. Please support this their first visit to Scotland. Check out the weekend classes on the website. As it is not a workshop, you can come when you are available – I will work out the individual cost. Radha and Yoga Plus has been the starting point of many of the international teachers, John Scott among them.

I am working on a Yoga and Breathing Bones weekend retreat 1-3 June in Carcassone! Please save the dates.

I am proud to be part of a nurturing and committed community of practitioners who have created a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive space.

I am amazingly grateful for the sharing and support for the intensives, courses, workshops and weekly classes.

My thanks to:

Brian Hartley for freshening up, adding clarity and invigorating the website

Ali Sim for delicious and delightfully nourishing food for the Intensives and Sunday workshops (reason enough to attend)
