Pranayama is a yoga technique to enhance, deepen and control the breath through simple preparations and exercises. These sessions will provide the foundations for a breathing practice that is applied to your regular ashtanga yoga postures, taking them to the next level. The breath and the mind are intimately linked so by accessing one you will also be able to control the other. The practice works at a physical, mental, emotional and energetic level, nourishing them all.
The sessions are open to everyone, whether beginners or advanced practitioners who want to work with the powerful breath energy in their asana, practicing more calmly, with heightened awareness and focus. Each session will consist of around 30 minutes of pranayama practice, followed by a 45 minute asana practice, working on elements of the ashtanga system, including variations and modifications, allowing you to practice your enhanced breath with the movement.
